Hong Kong, December 14, 2020 — Cloud Light Technology Limited (“Cloud Light”), a leading supplier of high-performance optical interconnect for hyperscale data centers, today announced the availability of its 400G QSFP-DD and OSFP DR4 optical transceiver products. The 400G DR4 provides an excellent solution for switch-to-switch connectivity in next generation deployments.
The Cloud Light 400G DR4 utilizes a silicon photonics engine and a low power DSP offering high bandwidths, high density, and low prices for the demanding cloud scale networks. When coupled with Cloud Light’s high volume wafer-scale manufacturing, the 400G DR4 provides a very compelling solution capable of supporting the largest 400G DR4 deployments with industry leading performance and quality.
Available in QSFP-DD and OSFP form factors, the Cloud Light DR4 modules provide high channel count, excellent signal integrity, and a generous thermal envelope. The modules support MPO and pigtail connectors targeting switch-to-switch and breakout connectivity. The 4x100G PAM4 optical interface is IEEE802.3bs DR4 compliant and has been demonstrated to support reaches beyond 4km. The non-hermetic package supports a 0-70C operating case temperature.
With a low power 7nm DSP that performs retiming and gearbox functions, the Cloud Light DR4 module’s 8x50G PAM4 electrical interface is GAUI-8 and CMIS 4.0 compliant and interoperability has been validated on numerous switch platforms.
“Cloud Light brings a long history of product design and silicon photonic deployments providing a solid foundation for the 400G DR4. This experience eliminates costly design cycles and lays the groundwork for next generation 800G products”, said Infinity Huang, VP of Product Management for Cloud Light.
The 400G QSFP-DD and OSFP DR4 product samples are available now and will be generally available in Q1 2021. Please contact Matt Davis for US sales (email@example.com) and Infinity Huang for non-US sales (firstname.lastname@example.org).
